This has been on very hard secret to keep. For the final LACMA Live Read from Jason Reitman, he will be recasting The Big Lebowski!!!
Once again, we worked with artist Matt Owen to create the poster, and we feel like we saved the best for last.
The event will has Jason getting actors to come in and read the script in front of a live audience (NO CAMERA, NO YOUTUBE, IT LIVES ONLY FOR THAT NIGHT!), so you can imagine how awesome this night will be. Tickets are sold out, but they do have a stand-by line that night, March 29th.
Only Live Read alums Patton Oswalt and Nick Kroll have been announced, along with Hank Azaria, as “assorted small cast members,” but we can’t wait to hear more.
As in the past, Matt’s limited screenprint will be available that night at the event, then online the next day with whatever we have left.
It will tie the room together. Read more about this at Entertainment Weekly, who debuted the print this morning.

First Look: The Campaign
The Playlist has posted scans from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, which contains this sneak peek of the upcoming comedy The Campaign. The political comedy, formerly known as Dogfight, stars Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell and Jason Sudeikis. So, duh, it should be really good.

When I posted the #Kony2012 link on Twitter, a LOT of people sent me this. I’d already felt uncomfortable RTing something that called for direct military action, and this solidified my discomfort.

And here it is, guys.

For “Is This Thing On? 2: The Weird Year” at Gallery1988 (Melrose) opening this Friday, we worked with comedic icon Weird Al Yankovic to produce an official screenprint set that’s inspired by his entire 30 year career. Each print commemorating a classic song/video from Al, is created by some of the world’s top designers and artists and will first be available in limited numbers for purchase at the show’s opening reception, then online at gallery1988.com starting March 10th.

Each print is an edition of 200 and obviously size varies. They will be an affordable $35 each, across the board.

Working with Al has LITERALLY been a dream come true for us. And each artist really nailed this project and we couldn’t be happier with the results. If you look at these and don’t smile, you can’t be our friend. One of our dream projects, has come to life…

These are all absolutely incredible!
